Paper Format: MLA
- Name
Teacher's Name (all should be flush at the top left side of page one)
Course
Date
- Each page should be numbered, with last name preceding number, at the top right hand
corner of the page {Ex. Smith 1 and Smith 2}
- Fonts of all writing should be the same; this includes the paper's title. Use
serif/block, size 12 font {Example of font: Times, Palatino, etc.}
- Each paper should have a heading or title and be double spaced.
Paper Deadlines:
- All students are expected to complete homework on time.
- All late work will be deducted ten (10) points for each day it is late -- until it
reaches zero.
- Projects may be sent from the postal office, post marked by the due date.
- Technology breakdowns are not an excuse for late papers.
- Hand write the paper neatly.
- Use email to transmit your paper.
- Talk with your teacher.
Absences
- All quizzes will be made up the day of a student's return.
- Tests should be taken within three days of the student's return.
- It is up to the student to inquire about missed work. Don't expect reminders from the
teacher.
- If a student is absent on the day of a test or on the day when a paper is due, the
student must have a note for his/her English teacher from a parent or
guardian upon the day of his/her return.
Failures
- Read your Course of Study; if English is
failed one year, the student must repeat it. Two grade specific English course cannot be
taken simultaneously.
