School resources should be utilized to help stduents achieve the school's expectations.  The library/media center's resources and programs should directly support each curriculum area, and the media specialist(s) should work collaboratively with classroom teachers.  All other services -- including guidance, health services, and special education -- should focus on meeting individual students' needs in order to promote their well-being and to provide them with the support necessary to achieve the school's expectations for student learning.  Finally, the school should institute a formal program to personalize students' education, such as an advisor program.
