Successful implementation of the standards cannot occur without effective leadership.  The administration should work to foster a professional culture centered on regular discourse about student learning.  To accomplish this, the administration should provide faculty with ongoing professional development, regular opportunities for collaboration, and an active role in curriculum development and decision-making.

The administration should also structure the school to promote equity.   Grouping practices, graduation requirements, and other factors impacting student learning should be consistent with the school's mission and ensure that all students, regardless of ability level, achieve the school's expectations for student learning.
