The Peer Resource Team is a group of students, who have been trained to assist classmates dealing with problems relating to health, sexuality, alcohol and other drugs, peer pressure, eating disorders, and suicide. Its goal is to provide an opportunity for students facing difficult issues to receive guidance and support from trained peers. The team focuses on prevention of depression, substance use, teen pregnancy. and sexual transmitted diseases. The team can refer students to a local help agency or to one of the schools adjustment or substance abuse counselors. |
